At the beginning of time I declared two paths for the pure heart:
Jnana yoga, the contemplative path of spiritual wisdom, and Karma yoga, the active path of selfless service.
The ignorant work for their own profit, the wise work for the welfare of the world, without thought for themselves.

Karma
Karma literally means “deed or act,” but more broadly describes the principle of cause and effect. Simply stated, karma is the law of action and reaction which governs consciousness.
In physics, the study of energy and matter, Sir Isaac Newton postulated that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
In metaphysics, karma is the law that states that every mental, emotional and physical act, no matter how insignificant, is projected out into the psychic mind substance and eventually returns to the individual with equal impact. You have heard the saying “what you sow is what you reap.” This phrase captures the simplest way to understanding karma.
Every action, feeling, thought or deed boomerangs right back to you. Nothing happens to us by the whim of some outside force. We ourselves are responsible for what life brings us. All of us are reaping the results of our own previous actions in this life or in previous lives.
Although karma means action, it also means the result of action. Whatever acts we have performed and whatever thoughts we have thought have created an impression, both in our minds and in the Universe around us. The Universe gives back to us what we give to it. If you give unconditional love you will receive unconditional love. At the same time, when you have conditions attached to what you give, you attract that back to you.
On a personal level, take a look at your karma by observing your life as if you were watching a movie. See yourself as the main chapters and just stand back and observe without judging. Notice that there are many experiences and lesson you learned on this journey. See it as just that. You had to experience the journey to bring you to where you are today. However, you do not have to cart the baggage of past hurts, anger and pain body with you forever. In fact, if you just let go, release the past and dissolve the energetic imprints, you will see that all circumstances are co-created by you with Divine intervention for you to experience and learn certain lessons as part of your Soul contract.
The 12 Laws of Karma
The 12 Laws of Karma is a modern day way to assist you in transcending karma on your path of Ascension. Understanding and daily practice of these Laws will change your life.

Universal Law
This is also known as the “Law of Cause and Effect” and “What you sow, is what you reap.”Whatever thoughts, energy and intentions we put out in the Universe comes back to us. Be conscious and thoughtful of what and how you share yourself because this is what you will experience in return.
The Law of Change and Growth
In order to grow and Ascend we must embrace change and not our external circumstances, places, things or people around us. We must embrace our inner self. We need to mimic nature which is ever evolving and changing like the seasons.
It is essential for the recognition of your own process which, in its season, leads to the harvest of the self. Growth is a process of experience, integration and release. Allow yourself to open to the changes that are coming. As you learn the lesson from the experience and release old patterns you make room for new lessons of growth. When you do this on personal level you allow for change and growth on a universal level, too.
The Law of Humility and Humbleness
Whatever you refuse to accept and deny will continue for you. What you see and judge in others resides within you. If you see character traits in others that you find negative then you are not living from your higher consciousness. Learning to be humble is not a sign of weakness, but one of strength. Be humble in your daily life and you will cross paths with other like-minded people.
The Law of Forgiveness and Surrender
When we are in conflict with another, we are reacting to an unresolved conflict within that has not been forgiven. Forgiveness is the willingness to free yourself from the role of the abuser in your life. When you forgive another, you forgive yourself. When we control aspects of our lives and others, we become controlled. To surrender means to relinquish control. In doing so, we acknowledge our readiness to heal ourselves and thus the collective.
The Law of Focus and Boundaries
You cannot focus on two things at the same time as you grow spiritually. Lower vibrational thoughts like greed, anger and judgment weigh you down on your path of Ascension. Do you get caught up doing too much for others and then resent it? Setting healthy boundaries is essential to developing healthy feelings. Establish boundaries that are recognized and respected by others and be sensitive and respecting to the boundaries of those close to you.
The Law of Creation and Courage
We are one with the Universe. We need to use our gifts/talents in the process of creation. This is necessary for all of creation to move forward in harmony. Surround yourself with what you want in your present life. Life doesn’t just happen, it requires our participation. It takes courage to persevere in life. The reward for courage is wisdom.
The Law of Responsibility and Accountability
Take responsibility for all that happens in your life. No one can do anything to you that you are not doing to yourself. If something is wrong in your life, look at what’s wrong with you. The universal truth is that we mirror what surrounds us and what surrounds us mirrors us. We also have to take accountability for our actions, words and thoughts. Being accountable and having ethics and integrity makes the whole world a better place live.
The Law of Wholeness and Being Present
Embrace all aspects of yourself and recognize and integrate each part of you as a whole. Every situation and experience that arises in your life is meant to bring you closer to a sense of wholeness and unity with the Universe. Rather than live in the past or future, be in the here and now. The past is history and the future is a mystery. All we have is the present and that’s why its a gift. It is in the present that we can create new thoughts, beliefs and patterns.
The Law of Love and Compassion
Love is the highest vibration on the planet. You can only love another if you can love yourself. The more love you give the more love you receive. When we have compassion for one another we shall be of one mind. Show your compassion through service. Reach out and be compassionate to those in need.
The Law of Patience and Acceptance
When you are asked to show patience in your life, stop and take the time to look within and heal that which you are pushing which may not be for your highest good. Remember that everything happens in Divine timing and all you need is patience. Never judge, compare or need to know why things are not happening. With the practice of patience comes perseverance, trust and wisdom. Acceptance is a process of surrendering to a higher will, the Divine Will. When we try to create something that is not for the highest good of all the Universe places a roadblock. The act of acceptance also nourishes the receptive side of ourselves.
The Law of Joy and Gratitude
Joy and Gratitude are inseparable. When you feel joy you inevitably feel gratitude as well. When we are feeling joy, we are receiving the full energy of Divine love. When we are experiencing gratitude we are giving that love back to the universe. As you express gratitude for your life and experiences you establish a flow of energy, giving and receiving, between you and Source.
The Law of Intention and Inspiration
Where we place our intention is what we will attract in our lives. Intent is a powerful force for creation and manifestation. Therefore it is important to be clear, present and fully conscious in your intent. Take a look at where you could be misusing your intention either willfully or unconsciously. Be an inspiration to others by living soulfully, being in Divine Service and participating in the creation of a New Golden Earth.
